Project Hosanna and Sainsbury's in New Charity Partnership

Sainsburys Rachel and Eden SmaProject Hosanna and Sainsbury's, Oxney Road, Peterborough, have launched a local charity partnership to raise the profile of Project Hosanna. Project Hosanna was chosen by Sainsbury's staff as the charity they would like to support. The partnership demonstrates Sainsbury's commitment to serving local communities by supporting local charities and continues until May 2010.

Project Hosanna, part of The Open Door Trust Peterborough, helps the homeless and vulnerable in Peterborough. The project provides an oasis for the homeless and vulnerable to come and enjoy a two course nutritious meal, clothing, blankets and toiletries at no cost. It operates Saturdays at St Mark's Church Hall on Lincoln Road.

The project offers a safe place where people are warmly received regardless of outward appearance, nationality, religious beliefs and social difficulties.
