Vision and Values  

THE WORSHIP BAND

The worship band exists to serve the Open Door Church in leading and facilitating our corporate worship through the gift of music.  Its goal is to usher in the presence of God.

The band seeks to lead the church into participative worship and to provide a platform for creative corporate worship to take place. It works in conjunction with the service leader and the speaker to bring to focus God's rhema word to the church for that occasion.

The worship band members are made up of those who are:  

Passionate about God

Take responsibility for their walk with God and their devotional life

Devoted to the Church

Respect and support the leadership team and hold to the vision and values of the church

Love the people

Actively share their lives with the people of the church

Faithful

Are dependable and accept the responsibility that goes with the privilege of being part of this ministry

Servant-hearted

Come to serve and share, not to promote or perform

Team Players

Seek to discover and grow in the area of contribution that they are best able to offer the team

Musically able

Musical ability is an essential attribute, though we are more interested in the heart of the worshipper than in their musical competence, though having both is fantastic!
