what our customers say
At the end of 2010, we asked our customers at the Open Door Centre Community Shop what we mean to them.
This is what they said...
When times have been hard (and there’s been many times) I felt there was always somebody to talk to. Nobody judged me; they just gave me their time.
The Open Door Centre has been a life saver in that I only moved to Gunthorpe in February this year and it’s helped me to make friends with people who have all been really nice. Plus not being able to work at the moment. It’s a good place to talk to adults instead of rotting in a chair wondering what to do.
I mainly use the Centre as a café to refuel, and take stock of my working day. Very pleasant people and staff and great food.
In the short time I have visited the Open Door Centre, I have found the staff so very helpful and of a pleasing disposition. I have met and enjoyed new friendships of value. My very best wishes to staff and friends. And may the Open Door remains “open always”.
We always get a nice warm welcome and offer of tea of coffee (which is offered completely free which is very kind). There are usually a few people in so it’s nice to be able to have a nice chat and catch up with every one if we haven’t been in for a few days. Any food we get in here is nice and hot and tasteful. “God is good through his people”. Thank you that the Open Door is an open door to all. God bless you all.
Friendly, helpful, wonderful people at the Open Door Centre - a vital part of the community.
